When the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office is installed, the Undo button and the CTRL+Z shortcut cannot be used to undo changes. This problem exists regardless of whether the content changes are related to SAS®.
This issue is planned to be fixed in a forthcoming maintenance release of the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office.
You can circumvent this problem by disabling the COM Add-in in your SAS Add-in Excel session. After this change, the software is still installed but it is not physically loaded when you start Microsoft Excel.
Here are the steps to unload the COM Add-in for Office 2003:
To return the COM Add-ins menu, repeat steps 1, 2, and 3, but in step 3, drag COM Add-ins back to Commands, and then click Close.
For Office 2007, COM Add-ins can be accessed without placing the COM Add-ins menu on the ribbon. Here are the steps for Office 2007:
To return the COM Add-ins, repeat the steps and select the SAS checkbox to reload the SAS Add-in software.
For further information see Usage Note 37701: Additional SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office configuration is required to restore functionality of the Undo button in Microsoft Excel
